The front desk provided excellent service, especially with luggage pick-up from Kyoto Station. The kitchenette was a big plus. having a fridge and microwave made meals easy. The washing machine in the room was convenient. The beds were comfortable, not too firm like many other hotels in Japan. I appreciated the space in the room. However, the property is quite far from train stations, making it less accessible. Limited dining options nearby, particularly at night, required frequent bus rides for better choices. Some aspects need attention, like the slippery bed, which made it easy to slide off. Plus, I noticed the lack of light switches by the bed, causing some inconvenience when turning off lights after lying down. The room lacked towel hooks, and the light near the door was sometimes bothersome for someone sleeping across from it. Despite these issues, the overall value for the price was decent.

What you should know
The bathroom features a small TV, while the kitchen is well-equipped with utensils, a washing machine, and a large mattress for optimal comfort. The staff is undeniably helpful and friendly, enhancing my stay.
It's quite a trek to the nearest train station, so plan for additional travel time. The limited dining options nearby can be inconvenient, especially after a long day of exploring.

The kitchenette was super handy for our family, especially with little kids. It made prepping snacks a breeze! We really enjoyed the washing machine, which came in handy after long days of exploring. Plus, having a flat-screen TV for evening downtime was a hit with the kids.
In my wife’s opinion, more towel hooks would be helpful.

missingWrote a review on 08 Augcool refugegood layoutslow wifi
Air conditioning did its job well in the heat, offering a cool refuge. The apartment's layout provided a good sense of space, making it comfortable for relaxing after a long day.
WiFi connection in the room was painfully slow and frequently dropped. The air conditioning unit was dusty and appeared overdue for cleaning, causing some concern about hygiene. The tub water wasn’t hot enough for a proper soak, and we lacked clear English instructions for the water heater. Additionally, the balcony had a constant wet patch from the draining aircon, making it unpleasant to use.
